We had to cancel this years event because of adverse weather conditions (some of you didn't like the sound of a F8), but if you are interested in participating in a future event then please let Rob Mountain know. The more of you that ask, the more likely we are to run the event in the future.
The concept of this event is that we select a day in the summer (for daylight reasons) with an early high tide, maybe 8 or 9am, and a corresponding high tide just over 12 hours later. We set sail from Skippool at morning high water and head for Fleetwood on the ebb tide. After a breakfast stop at Fleetwood or Knott End, we would then hold a couple of races in Morecambe Bay, followed by a lunch break and more racing in the afternoon.
There is then a further break for afternoon tea near Fleetwood , and finally a return to Skippool on the evening flood tide.
As well as racing, we may also arrange a dinghy cruise in the bay area subject to demand - let us know.
